“I can not teach you, only help you to explore yourself. Nothing more”.
A foodie and traveler with a curious and creative soul.
I have dedicated the last 28 years of my life to learning, exploring and applying many different crafts like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Calisthenics, Yoga, Running and Resistance Training in the quest to bettering myself through movement. Now, as I approach my 40s, my desire to become the best possible student, teacher and person is burning brighter than ever.
Today, I am inspired by Hand Balancers Miguel Sant’ana and Andrey Moraru. My passion for Hand Balancing ignited after I had the opportunity to learn from Miguel Sant’ana, back in 2016. That experience changed me forever! Immediately, falling in love with the art. From that experience I decided to do whatever it took to learn it.
Hand Balancing has taught me about patience, consistency, problem solving, creativity and acceptance. An art with zero short cuts. It requires your full presence. Show up with a disciplined approach: willingness to learn and accept that most days, if not all days will be filled with defeat and suffering. Learn to love the daily struggle and to celebrate the small wins; trust the process and enjoy the ride.
It would be my pleasure to share with you, what I have learned along the way. I am available for Private lessons-Small groups up to 6 Students.
Please contact me with any inquiries.
Services I Offer
Have you ever been curious? Want to learn? From complete beginner to intermediate level, Yoga practitioners, Calisthenics athletes, Fitness adventurers…Discover a new realm of happiness through handstands.
For the Beginner:
Let me share some valuable lessons I have learnt along the way, things I wish I knew when I first started.
Firstly: we assess “what your body needs” so we can get the most out of your practice.
We explore shoulder positioning, understanding the push, use of the fingers, creating the right amount of tension in the body, use of your core and breath.
Say goodbye to the fear of falling. Learn how to apply safe and effective exit strategies that work. This is a key for moving forward with your practice.
In the beginning the wall will be your best friend. The wall will help you with building the required strength, endurance and alignment needed to balance a freestanding handstand. You will be provided with specific tools at different stages of your journey to help you solve the puzzle to finding perfect balance in a solid handstand.
For the Intermediate practitioner:
This is for those of you who can already hold a 20 second handstand or more but struggle with the next stage, which is applying different movements or strength-based techniques.
Learn how to execute different entries like the tuck, straddle and pike.
Unlock your first 1 minute handstand and beyond with an effective endurance approach.
Master techniques like the handstand push up, press to handstand and more.
Technique assessments and individual programming are also available.
It’s always nicer to move with more freedom. Let’s get you more mobile so you can perform at your absolute best, feel incredible and sleep like a rock!
Whether you are just starting out on your fitness journey or a peak professional athlete, we all would like to move with more grace and ease in our daily life, especially as we grow older.
Even with myself, starting my flexibility journey as an adult did not come easy. I had to work hard and stay very consistent even though it was very uncomfortable. It has been a long ride, but it has been worth it. It has given me freedom to perform at my very best, sleep better, and feel great. It is something that I have grown to love and look forward to, daily.
I will help you incorporate useful methods of stretching and mobility into your daily routine.
Techniques and methods used will be Stretch Therapy™, Contract/Relax, Dynamic stretching, Ballistic stretching, Active flexibility, Isometric holds, loaded stretching, pulsing and static stretching: we will find out what is best for you, also go through when to use these for better results.
- Partner stretching, a very affective way to gain ROM (range of movement) possibly my favourite, learned from Stretch Therapy™ founder Kit Laughlin & Olivia Allnut.
Facia release techniques using balls, sticks and props.
To have a great read about the legend himself and one of the coolest dudes I have had an opportunity to learn from – Kit Laughlin, founder of Stretch Therapy™, please go to www.stretchtherapy.net
